If you have any questions about our work and booking us as your photographer, please don't hesitate to ask!

What should I wear?
Bring a variety of clothing options. A few casual options, a few formal options, and a range of shoes and accessories are always good. We also offer the services of a professional stylist who can help you with your wardrobe selection.  We recommend bringing at least five outfit changes and avoid busy prints. More will be discussed over the phone once you book your shoot.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you must cancel or postpone the shoot at any time after the shoot confirmation, you must pay expenses, if any, incurred by the us up to the time of cancellation, plus 50% of the anticipated creative/licensing fees. If the shoot is cancelled within 24 hours of departure for the shoot, the entire fee must be paid and no refund is received.

Is everything shot in the studio or do you do location shoots?
Both, depending on your needs. We can definitely come to you, go on location, and we also offer studio shots.

Do you sell prints?
Although these photographs are usually used for online and commercial purposes, we understand that there may be some shots that you would love as a print for personal use. We work with a professional photography lab and can provide prints of all sizes as well as other products.

Can you explain the licensing/usage rights?
Photographs are the intellectual property of the creator. Similar to a software program, you can purchase the use of it, but the creator still owns the material. We can write a license that gives specific usage rights. Another way to think about it is if you hire an artist to create a work, you paid them for their service/knowledge but they are the owner of that work. You must additionally acquire the rights to use it in a particular manner. As this is a negotiable arrangement, photographers include certain usage rights depending on your needs.
Retail photography (such as family portraits) generally includes personal usage rights. This means you can freely use the photos in any personal manner (at home, or for fun online). This does not include usage in any commercial manner (to promote a service you provide or a business you work for, a monetized blog or a book jacket or music album cover, etc.).
Commercial photograhy requires a special usage agreement with the photographer, based on how the images will be used, where, and for how long. This will be discussed prior to shoot confirmation.
